Q&A: What percent of authors or aspired writers go to college to pursue their writing dream?
Question by neko_umi13: What percent of authors or aspired writers go to college to pursue their writing dream?
I was writing a paper for my senior writing class and came upon a thought-provoking question. What percent (out of the US) of aspired writers actually go to college to pursue their writing dream? Because as we all know, you don't need to go to college to write, but it helps. So, how many do?

Neko,
You'd have to do a bit of research on this. I believe 'for example' Stephen King was a teacher when he wrote Carrie and has a masters in literature. The best thing to do is a biography search on any of the authors you know. It shouldn't be too hard to come up with any or all of their educational backgrounds.
