My late father was a pro-photographer in Newcastle in the 60s and 70s and took this early promo pic of the Animals in Newcastle Castle just before they went south and made it big in London with House of the Rising Sun.

Probably taken in 1964, I reshot it digitally and for a while it was published on Eric Burdon's old website and it is currently on his Wikipedia page
